What can I expect in a session?

Think of it like a Lotus Flower…

The Lotus Moves Through the Mud:

The lotus grows in muddy water, yet it doesn’t try to escape it. It moves through it—taking what’s there, working with it, and rising at its own pace. Somatic Experiencing is similar. It doesn’t push you to dive into everything all at once. Instead, it helps you gently notice what’s beneath the surface, one small step at a time, so your nervous system doesn’t feel overwhelmed.

An Invitation to Explore:

You might be guided to pay attention to your breath, or the feeling of your feet on the ground, or a subtle shift inside your body. You’ll learn to speak the language of sensation and to track it in your system. These small moments of awareness can help release tension that’s been stuck for a long time—like loosening something that’s been held too tightly.

Grow At the Pace of Safety:

Over time, this process supports real change. You may begin to feel more calm, more present, more connected to yourself. Just like the lotus, your growth doesn’t happen by forcing anything—it happens by allowing, by listening, by trusting the natural movement toward balance.

Somatic work is

a warm, respectful approach. There’s no rush. No pressure to “figure it all out.” Just a steady unfolding—like petals opening— as your body Remembers how to feel safe again.

Your body knows what to do and this modality offers the space and time to allow healing to transcend, moving beyond merely “fixing” a physical or emotional ailment to achieving a state of wholeness that transforms suffering into personal growth, meaning, and a new way of being.
